What is Your Marketing Strategy?

Posted by dreamlinesdesign at 01:05 PM on May 01, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Your marketing strategy should be driven by the problems that keep people up at night.  You want to be the one to provide them with a solution to make their life simple. Most of these problems are mainstream and so many are affected by the same issues.  Some people get blindsided when an issue faces them and it could have been prevented.

You want to focus on their feelings.  What is in their mind?  That is where you want to go.

Their Worries and Questions

Are they scared about the economy?

How will I be able to furnish the living room?

Issues That Could Have Been Prevented

Will their life be completely turned upside down when a spouse cannot provide income?

I could have saved how much on a loveseat?

Whether you are a financial advisor or a furniture boutique..focus on their emotions, needs, and qualms.  Some people worry all the time, some worry after the fact, so target both spectrums.

What is your niche and unique selling point?  You want to provide your prospect or client with nothing less than special.  Don't be vague.  Marketing is not cheap, so get their attention the first time.  Provide them with an offer and make it irresistible.  Can you provide them with a special offer no one else can provide?

Last piece of the puzzle.  When you have found that one of a kind and will grab their attention Headline find the best way to get the message out to your target market(s).  Not just one time. Repetitive mailings, emails, phone calls, etc are key.  Keep in constant contact with them.  Good luck!  It is a hard process, but you have to keep at it and once you find what works..move forward in full-force!

6 Reasons Why You Need A Website

Why You Need A Website

  • To sell anything, to anyone, anywhere.
  • To make your Corporate Presence
  • Provide credibility
  • Allows customers to find out about your business, products, and services you have to offer.
  • Internet users and e-commerce sales are rising
  • Because everyone else is doing it...don't lose business to those that use the internet

A Website will connect you to the world.

How Important is a Business Card?

Posted by dreamlinesdesign at 07:34 PM on April 16, 2009 Comments comments (0)

A business card is the first look into your business.  A business card should be professional and show who you are.  It is an important marketing tool.  Your marketing plan, as a small business entrepreneur, should incorporate your business card.  This is the most inexpensive piece of your marketing plan with a huge impact.  This is your opportunity to stand above your competitors.

A business card must have your name and title, company name, phone numbers and e-mail address. Don't forget your website address!

Your card should be desirable for your industry to target your market.  I recommend full color, double sided, glossy on a heavy cardstock.

I recently had a contractor contact me, because business is slowing down due to the economy and the ways of the world.  He needs a website and business cards.  At the time business was steady and going well.  By not having a website and business cards he lost many opportunities.  Opportunities for his clients to shoot their friend a quick email about their 'amazing contractor' or for a client to hand out a business card to lady overheard talking about needing a contractor.

A business card is a piece of the marketing puzzle.  Without a business card or even a website...you only have referrals on your side.  Is that enough?  Is that a risk worth taking?

What is a Twitter and Why do I need it in my life?

It is the newest social media that has caught on like wildfire.  See what your favorite celebrity is saying.  What new product is your favorite designer adding to their product line?  What are your competitors saying?   Search keywords that relate to you.   Twitter allows the human side to show through.

You need Twitter for many reasons.  One is to be a part of something that is huge.  Twitter has many followers.  In a few moments you can see what your Mom, Snoop Dog, the CEO of your company, and your college buddies are doing.  Twitter is very clever.

A few Benefits of Twitter

Share short updates of your life

140 characters is the limit?so no thinking, just type

Spend 10 minutes a day

It is free

Find your friends to follow their updates

See the other side of your followers..they are human too

Search for your competitors by name or product

Meet new people

Post your photo?remember the human side of this

Share things about your community

Provide insight

Share a tip that could benefit others

Contribute hot topics

Find interesting people and find who is interesting following them

There are only a ?few? million people on Twitter

If you have great news to share you can reach so many at one time

Provides opportunity

A few tips along the way??

Follow those with a ratio of 1/1.  Those they are following to those that are following them.

Contribute tips, hot topics, new ideas, new websites, etc.  If you are always selling yourself or your product you will lose many followers.  It?s a great if you want to share/sell you, but it goes hand-in-hand.  Make sure to contribute and it will be smooth sailing.

Stay tuned for Twitter updates.
